The best vegan breakfast spots in Cornwall

Gone are the days of bland porridge, and sad looking beans on toast as the only vegan breakfast options! Nowadays we are spoilt for choice down here in Cornwall. Whether you prefer a grab and go option or a full English, there’s something for everyone. The best vegan breakfast spots in Cornwall can be found right across the county, so choose the one closest to you and give them a try!

Rems Cafe, Quintrell Downs

Pick your fighter – breakfast burrito or classic breakfast muffin? This is my favourite spot on the list. It’s slightly hidden away on an industrial estate but it’s 100% worth the detour. The decor is minimalist, but flavours are strong and punchy.

Short and Strong, Charlestown

If you like your breakfast sandwich open, go for the scrambled tofu on avocado toast. Closed? There’s a vegan sausage bap with hash brown nuggets on the side. Then grab a coffee to go and stroll along the picturesque Charlestown Harbour.

Count House Cafe, Pendeen

Set within the grounds of Geevor Tin Mine, and boasting some great views. They have vegan french toast and pancakes for those with a sweet tooth, or you can go for a classic ‘Cornish’ breakfast, made vegan.

Box and Barber, Newquay

Famous for their coffee, and their asthetically pleasing dishes. There’s a delicious tofu wrap and some stunning acai bowls to choose from. It’s popular, so arrive early to snag a table.

The Honey Pot, Penzance

There’s a big vegan fry up on offer here, but for those fancying something lighter the miso mushrooms on toast are to die for! Staff are friendly and decor is very cute.

Potager Garden, Constantine

Probably the most beautiful spot on the list. Dining in a green house surrounded by flora of all shapes and sizes, this already feels like a plant-based paradise! The vegan breakfast is healthy and home made, and the coffee is served in dainty china cups. Make sure to have a quick walk around the garden after your meal.

Cafe Dog and Rabbit, St Just

Nestled in the little village of St Just is this hidden gem. Cafe Dog and Rabbit do a terrific fry up (with vegan black pudding!) but make sure to check out their specials board for alternative breakfast treats.
