Best places to see the bluebells in Cornwall
The arrival of bluebells marks the true beginning of Spring; my favourite time of the year here in Cornwall. You can find bluebells all over the county, in woodlands and often just on the side of the road. But if you are looking for some real picture perfect locations, below are my favourites places to see the bluebells in Cornwall:

Tehidy woods
One of our go-to spots for a dog walk, Tehidy Woods is never touristy but always a safe bet for seeing bluebells. There are a few trails here so go off and explore and find your own little slice of bluebell heaven.

Enys Gardens
Did you know over half of the world’s bluebells can be found in the UK? Well I’m convinced most of them are actually here at Enys Gardens. It’s ticketed entry, but during their bluebell festival its worth every penny. A sea of bluebells await you – I’ve never seen anything like it before or since! And if you come early and stay quiet you might even spot a deer jumping through the flowers like we did.

Lanhydrock estate
Another great spot if you have a four legged companion, this National Trust property is stunning throughout the year but really comes alive during early Spring when the bluebells start to make an appearance. Entrance to the house is chargeable but the grounds are free to explore.

Penrose estate
Another National Trust property that’s free to walk around (bring money for parking though if you’re not a member!) the Penrose estate has the best of both worlds – Loe lake and Loe Bar beach. Do the circular route around the lake in the spring and spot the bluebells peeking out of the surrounding woodlands.

Idless Woods
Just outside of Truro, Idless woods is carpeted with bluebells in late April/early May. Popular with local dog walkers as well as mountain bikers, there are easy trails to follow. But if you stray off the path you are sure to find the untouched pockets of bluebells. Make sure you stop for a cuppa and slice of cake afterwards at the nearby Cows and Sows.
